What to do if you think you are pregnant

There is no need to contact your GP. If you think you might be pregnant (preferable as soon as you find out, before eight weeks into the pregnancy) you should contact your local midwife team in the first instance.

To determine the correct Midwifery team, once you have decided which hospital you would like to have your baby at, please see below:.

West Suffolk Hospital

If you wish to have your baby at West Suffolk Hospital, please call 01284 713755.

Addenbrooke’s Hospital

If you wish to have your baby at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, please visit the following link to download the form and email to register the birth with the Rosie Hospital:

It’s important to see a midwife as early as possible to get all the antenatal care and information you need to have a healthy pregnancy.

Once you have been to see the midwife, we will get notification of the pregnancy.

If you have any questions about your pregnancy the midwifery team can support you, however if you require help into terms of medication or treatment during your pregnancy, please call us to arrange an appointment.
