We have a new policy for the prescribing of sedation medication. We are unable to prescribe anxiolytics medication to relieve anxiety or benzodiazepines such as diazepam (valium) for:
- Flying
- Dental procedures – GPs should not be contacted regarding sedation requests prior to seeing a dentist, your dentist should be prescribing for you if they think it is needed.
- Radiology procedures
